The Gülpınar Wind Power Plant (WPP), one of our key wind energy investments, has entered the pre-license stage, and the permitting processes have officially commenced.
The project is located in the villages of Ovacık, Denizgöründü, Salihler, and Karapınar in the Central District of Çanakkale Province. With an installed capacity of 30 megawatts, the plant is expected to generate approximately 110 gigawatt-hours of electricity annually. Commissioning of the facility is planned for October 2019.
The Gülpınar WPP is projected to supply enough electricity to meet the annual needs of nearly 40,000 households. In addition, the plant is expected to prevent approximately 60,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year, which is equivalent to planting 60,000 trees annually.
